The San Tan Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomes KQCX ‘Storm County’ Radio as its newest member.
The online radio station features the very best of country music, playing everything from the latest hits to the classics dating back to 1940. Based in the San Tan Valley and operating as a non-profit since 2010, KQCX also provides listeners with local news, community calendars and restaurant reviews. But in the end, what sets ‘Storm Country’ apart is the music.
“We have a diverse playlist with literally thousands of songs to choose from,” said Station Manager and Afternoon Host, Shon White. “We feature a large amount of live, local programming to serve our community and mix in some great independent national shows to give our listeners a solid mix of local flavor along with the most popular songs from around the country.”
With local hosts ‘Bobby D’ and ‘Thunder Rob,’ along with Shon and his wife Lizzy White, KQCX broadcasts live from the San Tan Valley Monday – Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and features an assortment of syndicated programming during nights and weekends. While KQCX can be heard around the world at www.kqcx.com, White says the San Tan Valley comes first, making the decision to join the Chamber of Commerce an easy one.
“The San Tan Valley is our home and we want to be a part of the community and support it both on and off the air,” White explained. “The Chamber gives us the best opportunity to do that. They have been extremely welcoming and supportive. I have never been involved with a group that is so friendly and committed to helping its members succeed.”
