CAC Hosting 8 Week Public Speaking Workshop
Central Arizona College, San Tan Center, is hosting an 8 week workshop on developing public speaking and leadership skills. This program, presented by San Tan Toastmasters, will emphasize speaking as a critical skill in leadership.
National research has shown that the fear of speaking in front of a group of people is a greater fear than the fear of dying.
Toastmasters International has been providing a positive and encouraging environment for people to develop their speaking skills since 1924. Recent changes in the Toastmasters International program now emphasize leadership as well as their focus on communication skills.
Those professionals who jobs require conducting meetings, presenting business reports, interfacing with clientele and/or making marketing/sales presentations can benefit greatly by participation in the $25 workshop. Mark your calendar to take advantage of this rare opportunity to improve your speaking skills. Learn how to speak up and be heard. Let us help you lose your fear of speaking.
The San Tan Toastmasters will conduct the speaking/leadership workshops from June 8 to July 27, 2011. All meetings will begin exactly at 7:00 and will be finished promptly at 8:30 PM each meeting. The workshop will be held at the Central Arizona College, San Tan Center, The Shops @ Copper Basin, 2474 E. Hunt Highway Suite 100.
The number of participants will be limited on a first come, first served basis. The orientation/registration meeting will be held at 7:00 PM on June 8.
