Signing the legislation would prevent a $250 million tax hike
Today chambers of commerce around the state called on Governor Napolitano to sign a bill permanently repealing a statewide property tax. Nearly 40 chambers of commerce across Arizona sent a letter to the Governor urging her signature. The legislation (HB 2220) has passed out of the Arizona House and Senate and will be transmitted to the Governor for final approval. |

PHOENIX - Today the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry released a comprehensive set of recommendations to address Arizona's current budget downturn. The document presents basic principles for sound state budgeting during times of both economic strength and weakness. It also identifies specific actions that could be taken to reduce the current budget deficit. |
