I'm an existing Chamber member but my business isn't listed in the Member Directory.

For ALL current Chamber Members – if you want to be listed on the new website, in the MEMBER DIRECTORY, YOU MUST FOLLOW THE STEPS LISTED BELOW!

1. Click on the JOIN link
2. Complete the application in its entirety and click Submit
   CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE JUST COMPLETED STEP 1
3. Now check your email – you will receive an email asking you to click the link to validate your email address. WITHOUT doing this, you will not be able to add your business to the membership directory

4. YOU MAY SKIP STEP 3 IF YOUR DUES ARE CURRENT – If you don’t know whether or not you need to pay your dues, please continue on and we will notify you if your dues need to be renewed. Your listing will not be made active until your dues are current.)
5. Now that your account is validated, on the top right hand corner of the site you will see a LOGIN box. Enter your username and password – that you just created in order to login and click the arrow button. (Username is entered in place of the USERNAME text that is in the box now and password is entered in the box next to the USERNAME box)
6. Click the MEMBER DIRECTORY link
7. Click ADD YOUR BUSINESS
8. Complete your business listing (be sure to include information in the business description area) and click Submit.
9. Wait for your listing to be approved and then consider yourself OFFICIAL!

You are NOW listed in the MEMBER DIRECTORY on the new website!

Now that you have created your business listing and submitted your application, you may login to the site at anytime and update your information! No more submitting requests via email or leaving messages and waiting for it to be done. YOU make the changes when YOU want to!

There are many new features available to the San Tan Area Chamber of Commerce membership now and we will be sending out more information to teach you how to get the most out of the new site.

All information will now be posted on the new website at http://www.SanTanChamber.com including events (both chamber and community) and news so be sure to bookmark the new site (bottom left hand side of the site) so you can check back daily!

Why should I join a Chamber of Commerce?

A Chamber of Commerce works to promote a favorable business environment within the community. By joining a Chamber you would be among select businesses that are recognized as being ethical, credible, reputable and worthy of doing business with.  Being associated with building a strong community, sharing ideas and networking with other successful business and community leaders, access to personal development opportunities and business resources, cost effective advertising and member benefits- all are valuable reasons to belong to a Chamber of Commerce.

How can the San Tan Valley Chamber help my new business?

New businesses suffer from a lack of exposure and can easily be overlooked in a highly competitive environment. The STV Chamber can enhance the visibility of the new business and help to launch the new business into the community. Our business experts can also help to coach the new business person in how to achieve early success.

I’ve been in business a long time, how can the Chamber help an established business?

Established businesses must find ways to expand their presence in the community and to continue find cost-effective solutions for keeping costs down. The Chamber can assist the established business to continue to explore ways to obtain new clients/customers. Multiple advertising vehicles help to keep costs down while expanding penetration and customer reach.

How do I decide which Chamber to join?

Multiple Chamber memberships are fairly typical however the best decision should be based upon where you intend to do business and where the customer base you are trying to reach/attract are located.

What does the San Tan Valley Chamber expect of me?

Most importantly we expect you to be an honest, caring business person who wants to be a success but not at the expense of others. We want business people to be associated with the Chamber who would also like to give back to the community and be a respected business neighbor. Businesses not adhering to ethical business practices will not be accepted for membership and those who do not remain ethical and trustworthy will have their membership revoked. While we can not mandate participation, we would expect involvement and support of the STV Chamber and its activities.

Can the Chamber help me with financing my business?

While the Chamber can not directly help with financing, we can help the business owner to find the appropriate resources. In addition, many of our businesses have gone through the trials and tribulations of seeking financing and can be a vital resource in making good decisions and finding resources.

I have very little time because I’m so busy, how can the Chamber help me save time?

We can not create more time for you, however we may be able to help you find ways to save time in having to find resources or seek solutions to problems. Also with our range of member benefits and types of businesses we may be able to save time in procuring needed information or supplies.

I’m a new business that needs to become known in the area, how can the Chamber help me?

Let the knowledgeable leaders within the STAC Chamber help you launch your business through cost-effective advertising, ribbon cuttings, press releases, website recognition, member advertising, featured business recognition and coaching for maximum exposure.

Do I have to attend all the Chamber activities?

We do not have a mandatory attendance policy but we hope that you will take advantage of every and any opportunity to promote your business as well as help advance the mission of the Chamber. We have three scheduled opportunities per month- a Business Mixer, Executive Team Meeting and General Membership Meeting; in addition there will be many other opportunities for attending/participating in events, community oriented activities and committees.

Is my membership investment tax deductible?

The San Tan Area Chamber is a non-profit 501c6 organization; please check with your tax advisor as to how to best take advantage of the association.

I understand you have a minimum of three opportunities to meet each month, which one(s) should I attend?

The San Tan Area Chamber has a number of fantastic opportunities each month that members are encouraged to participate in. Our 3 scheduled events are:

1. The Business Mixer (first Wednesday of the Month) is the opportunity for networking and exposure;
2. The Executive Team Meeting (second Thursday of the Month) is an opportunity to become engaged in the work of the San Tan Area Chamber through committee work;
3. The General Membership Meeting (fourth Thursday of the month) is the opportunity for some networking, education and business interaction.

 

We also have numerous ribbon cuttings and member sponosored events, not to mention our annual Golf Tournament, which again are great opporutnities for you to socialize and network with fellow members as well as the community.

Which opportunity you choose will depend upon what you desire to achieve with the Chamber. We hope you will take advantage of all Chamber opportunities, events, meetings and activities.

Where do I pay/renew my dues?

IF YOU HAVE NOT CREATED AN ACCOUNT YET, PLEASE CLICK THE JOIN BUTTON IN THE MAIN MENU AND FOLLOW THOSE STEPS INSTEAD.

2. Click the CHAMBER INFORMATION menu item on the left hand side – this menu will expand and you will see more links
3.  Click PAY GENERAL DUES or PAY NON-PROFIT DUES
   
4.  Click CHECKOUT
5. Enter your login details on the next page (center of the screen)
6. If you have never paid your dues on this site, you will be redirected to a similar page again where you will enter your billing information.  If you have already paid your dues on this site you  will be prompted for your credit card information.
7. Click Next
8. Enter your credit card information
9. Complete your order.

 
Once you have completed these steps, you will receive an email receipt for your records.
